Hi I’m Michael Starkey, 43 years of age and I have been in the Hotel business for approximately 18 years. Prior to that I was in the earth moving and mining industry. This is where I was first introduced to The Westpac Helicopter service and the important role it played in that Industry. Fast forward to be a hotel manager and being part of a number of Fundraising events for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter service along with witnessing the great work the service continually provides to the community, The Leaders Leap was another opportunity to assist, 

Thanks to my wife and loyal Staff who felt it would be a great idea for me to be the one who should jump off a building in the name of charity. Heights for me are not really a problem but I have never jumped from a stadium before so to say I am a little apprehensive is an understatement. Being 120kg I hope the ropes are strong and the chopper is on stand bye …
